An unusual, expressive Bartolo Mascarello, kirsch, blood orange, pomegranate and truffle, lifted by white pepper and an almost exotic floral edge that sets the 2022 apart from more typical vintages. Harvested in a tight three-day window (September 20–23) and macerated for 32 days with twice-daily pumpovers, the wine carries genuine concentration while holding to the estate's characteristic mid-weight frame. Tannins are present and firm but not aggressive, they need time to knit, which is the only real ask here. Vivid and distinctive, this is Nebbiolo that rewards patience.
