Golden in the glass, this barrel sample from Hengst's marl and iron-clay soils draws on two parcels planted in 1970 and 1990. Aromatic and pure on the nose, crisp apple, a lift of white blossom. The palate moves toward apricot and stone fruit richness before the site's structure pulls it back into line. Powerful but disciplined, with the kind of tensile freshness that keeps everything in check. Bone-dry.
