Translucent in the glass, this seven-year-old Alsatian Syrah leans delicate rather than muscular. Violet and peony dominate the nose, with a whisper of vanilla cream from new oak. The palate is slender and tender, white pepper, floral lift, and a fine mesh of firm tannins framing bright cherry fruit on the finish. Seductive in a quiet, precise way.
