From a loess pocket on the warmer mid-slope of Loibenberg, where harvest timing is everything. Bread dough and brioche lead the nose, with pear skin and white pepper emerging with air. On the palate, that yeasty character carries through, wrapped around a firm, lightly peppery core with real pithy concentration. What's impressive is the absence of weight, this is supple and fluid, moving across the palate without a gram of excess richness. Bone-dry and precise.
