Old-vine Mencía from Doade's slate terraces in Ribeira Sacra. Deep purple in the glass, with pomegranate, dark cherry and a reductive edge that lifts into dried flowers and crushed stone. Concentrated and dry on entry, with chalky, grip-forward tannins and a firm mineral spine that speaks directly to the schist underfoot. Compact and tightly-knit, finishing long and precise. A serious expression of what this grape and this hillside can do.
