Wieninger Pinot Noir Select 2021

Sandy, calcareous soils from Bisamberg with a portion of Nussberg limestone, aged in 228–600-liter barrels. Dark cherry and a light smokiness open the nose with quiet confidence. On the palate, that cherry carries through with real clarity and lift, underpinned by a fine-grained, stony minerality that keeps things honest. Fruity and rounded yet transparent and fresh, the tannins are silky, the finish clean. A fruit-forward Vienna Pinot that punches above its weight without overreaching.
