Three old-vine parcels, planted across the 1930s, 1950s and 1970s, on east-facing loamy soils over calcareous sand and limestone, and you can taste every layer of it. Pomegranate and cranberry on the nose, lifted by white summer blossom and a faint trace of iron and smoke that gives it an almost magnetic pull. It's a nose that rewards patience rather than demanding attention. On the palate, the structure is chalky and cool, spreading quietly rather than announcing itself, mulberry and cranberry drift through with a near-minty freshness, and the tannins are so fine they're barely there, more suggestion than substance. A wine of genuine elegance and composure. Bone-dry.
