F.X. Pichler Riesling Unendlich 2021

Unendlich is exactly what the name promises, a wine that doesn't seem to end. Sourced predominantly from Kelleberg (90%) with a small contribution from Höhereck, and built from the ripest fruit of the vintage, including around 10% shriveled but clean berries. Fermented in stainless steel and aged 16 months across large barrel and tonneaux, it carries that signature F.X. Pichler concentration without losing its footing. Dried apricot, white peach and quince on the nose, underpinned by a deep, almost smoky minerality. On the palate it's broad and weighty yet keeps its composure, the acidity stays firm and focused, holding everything together through a finish that stretches on and on. Drink 2026 through 2045.
