Oyster shell and citrus peel open the nose, half of this wine's fruit drawn from the Chapelots climat, with orange zest adding a lifted brightness as it opens up. Firm and linear on the palate, carrying a touch more weight and concentration than the Butteaux, yet never losing its precision. Salinity cuts cleanly through the finish, leaving that characteristic Montée de Tonnerre imprint. Excellent.
