Amélie & Charles Sparr Pinot Noir Carpe Diem 2021

A blend of Altenbourg and Rosenberg fruit, forced together by 2021's punishing yields. Whole bunches at 70% leave their mark, a faint reductive edge on the nose, a lifted, slightly wild quality that suits the wine well. Underneath, tart redcurrant and white pepper cut through cleanly on a lean, bright palate. The structure is gentle but present, and the red berry fruit hums with quiet persistence. Delicate and aromatic, with more grip than it first lets on.
