Tight and reticent on the nose, the granite backbone of the Sommerberg hasn't opened up yet, offering little beyond faint citrus. On the palate it's another story: bone-dry and firmly structured, lemon pith and zest drawn in a precise, clean line, softened slightly by Amalfi lemon warmth. The architecture here is serious for young vines. Give it time.
