A faint wisp of smoke on the nose, then bright, focused pear with a squeeze of lemon cutting clean through. From a young parcel at 400-410m on the granitic Sommerberg, the altitude was deliberate, coaxing real acidity into a dry Pinot Gris rather than the usual richness. On the palate it delivers: juicy and generous, yet driven by a vivid lemon-zest tension that keeps everything taut and linear. The concentration is serious, the finish exceptional. Dry Pinot Gris rarely achieves this kind of precision.
