Wieninger Chardonnay Select 2020

Sourced from the Bisamberg and fermented across a mix of French oak (228 to 600-litre vessels, 20% new) and five-year-old Slavonian oak. Smoke and a soft, buttery richness open the nose, understated but characterful. On the palate, that smoky oak thread carries through, meeting a near-tropical creaminess and a lush, generous texture. It stays fresh and streamlined for all its roundness, bone-dry with just enough drive to keep things honest.
