Trimbach Riesling Frédéric Emile 2020

Drawn from Geisberg, Osterberg, and, unusually, Kirchberg Grand Crus, this is Riesling in complete command of itself. The nose is restrained, almost meditative: dried herbs, chamomile, a whisper of something floral. Then the palate opens up with hawthorn blossom and that signature chalky tension, the wine stretching long and vertical with real architectural depth. For a hot vintage, there's not a trace of heaviness, just cool, precise, bone-dry Riesling doing exactly what it should.
