Iron, dried herbs, orange peel, white pepper and red-fruited depth, this is unmistakably Bric del Fiasc. The tannins are sinewy and insistent, drawing the wine tight around its core of fruit, leaving everything feeling compressed and a little closed today. Geranium lifts the nose with a floral edge, but the structure is the story here: firm, angular, demanding time. Give it at least four or five years before pulling a cork.

→A Castiglione Falletto estate synonymous with single-vineyard Barolo, Paolo Scavino built its reputation on Bric dël Fiasc before expanding across some of the Langhe's most sought-after crus. Now run by the second generation, the wines remain precise, structured, and worth seeking out.
