Bright lemon zest and white flowers hit first, then that distinctive Hunter Valley tautness takes over. Lean and nervy, all sinew and citrus pith, with green pear skin and a mineral streak that cuts right through. The waxy texture emerges slowly, giving just enough flesh to the bone-dry frame. That quinine edge on the finish is pure Hunter - this will unfold beautifully over the next decade.
