Chenin Blanc with 7% Sémillon, drawn from across Alheit's parcels, whole-bunch pressed and lees-aged for 12 months. White tea, broom and chalk-dusted citrus on the nose, more mineral and austere than the Hereafter Here. On the palate it builds gradually and purposefully, spice threading through the mid-palate before saffron and stem ginger emerge at the finish. The persistence is exceptional, and there's an insistence to this wine, it holds your attention and keeps it. Outstanding.
