Mullineux White Old Vines 2019

Spent nine months in foudres and 500-liter used barrels, left on lees without added sulfur until spring. Nutmeg, hazelnut and white chocolate on the nose, with orange blossom and a faint waxy quality emerging with time in the glass. On the palate it's taut and well-proportioned, quince, marmalade and a thread of walnut lead into a smoky, driven finish with real energy. A compelling old vine white blend from Chris and Andrea Mullineux.
