François Raveneau Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru 2019

Orange blossom, mandarin and ripe peach on the nose, with a seam of chalk dust that opens up nicely with air. On the palate, the wine starts gently then builds through the mid-palate with real purpose, vivid, saline and faintly bitter toward the close, with the acidity keeping everything taut and focused. The finish lingers with impressive length. A beautifully composed Montée de Tonnerre that shows both the vintage's generosity and Raveneau's unfailing precision.
