Ceritas Chardonnay Marena 2019

Citrus pith, white pepper, chalk dust and a trace of fresh mint, this is Sonoma Coast Chardonnay with a coastal edge and genuine depth. Blended from a south-facing Clone 4 block at Zephyr and the thin-canopy sections of Heintz where fruit gets more sun exposure, the Marena sits between generous and precise: a touch more open and forward than Ceritas' vineyard-designate bottlings, yet still taut and well-defined. Give it air and it broadens beautifully, the mineral backbone holding everything together through a long, clean finish.
