Slight reduction on the nose clears to reveal chalk and cool minerality. What strikes on the palate is the sheer dryness, atypical for the variety, and all the more compelling for it. Silky texture with real density underneath, the chalky thread running clean through to a finish that lifts with pear. Partly sourced from Sonnenglanz Grand Cru; the foudre component adds weight without softening the precision.
