The Sadie Family Wines Skurfberg 2018

From ancient Chenin vines in the Olifants River mountains, the 2018 Skurfberg is the most closed of Sadie's single-vineyard crus at this stage, the nose restrained and floral, offering little away. Given time, the palate reveals its hand: orange peel, bitter marmalade, and a spine of taut acidity that drives through to a precise, focused finish. Patience required. Drink 2024–2032.
