R. López de Heredia Crianza Viña Gravonia 2018

All Viura, aged in the López de Heredia way, unhurried, oxidative, unapologetically itself. The nose is all cedar, toasted almond, dried chamomile and warm vanilla, with a slow drift of lemon oil and acacia honey underneath. In the mouth it's dry and composed, with a saline thread pulling the wine through to a finish that turns pleasantly savory, almost bouillon-like, with a dusting of saffron. The acidity is present but never intrusive, folded in cleanly and giving the whole thing its quiet, focused backbone. A white that asks you to slow down.
