Kühling-Gillot Riesling Qvinterra feinherb 2018

Drawn from Nackenheim and Oppenheim fruit in 2018, this feinherb opens with a yeasty, lightly reductive edge over apple and apple blossom. Soft and approachable in feel, it delivers plenty of juicy apple character through to the finish, where an unexpected lift of lime adds some life. Straightforward but satisfying, the 2017 was a genuine step above and looks more and more like an outlier, leaving this to do what it usually does, reliably and without fuss.
