Montefico earns its place at the top of the 2017 Produttori lineup. The site's signature tannins are very much present, piercing and firm, yet there's enough ripe, concentrated fruit here to keep everything in check, something you can't always say about the Rabajà. The north-facing exposure and cooling winds paid real dividends in a warm vintage like 2017, preserving the freshness and lift that make this cru so compelling. Even at this early stage, the balance is convincing. One of the standout Riservas in the range.
