Ripe peach and apricot carry a distinct botrytis signature, honeyed and lush, but kept in check by the Scharzhofberg's signature slate-driven acidity, which cuts through the sweetness with precision. There's a smoky, waxy edge from noble rot that frames the stone fruit beautifully, with a thread of citrus pith adding brightness to the finish. The tension between opulence and cut is the whole story here, and it's a compelling one. Drink 2025–2045.
