Own-rooted Calera clones on what may be the oldest vineyard on the far Sonoma Coast, and the Old Shop Block carries that weight with quiet authority. Dark cherry, dried violet, iron-rich earth and a thread of forest floor. The structure here is vertical and unhurried, firm tannins, bright acidity, and a mid-palate that stays composed rather than giving itself away easily. This is not a wine that announces itself.
