From a southeast-facing limestone parcel in Riquewihr, this has real Alsatian character. Smoke, dried leaves and Kirsch-laced cherry on the nose. The cooler vintage shows on the palate, taut and bright, with red fruit precision and a genuine autumnal depth. Fine tannins tighten on the finish, which closes with Black Forest cherry and quiet authority.
