Domaine du Pélican Vin Jaune Arbois 2016

Toasted hazelnuts, dried chamomile, preserved lemon and a whiff of oxidative spice, classic Vin Jaune character from this inaugural release. The palate is dense and concentrated, with real weight behind it. A flicker of heat on the finish betrays alcohol that hasn't quite settled in, but the underlying structure is serious and the wine has decades of life ahead.
