Alzinger Riesling Smaragd Höhereck 2016

Peach and green plum at their ripest, cut through with fruit-skin tartness and a distinct stony salinity. The structure is firm and tightly-knit, yet the wine never feels austere, cool fennel notes and generous stone fruit juice keep things alive and generous through to the finish. That finish is long and mouthwatering, with the salt and acidity working in tandem rather than at odds. A focused, precise Höhereck that should drink well for several more years.
