Alheit Vineyards Cartology Bushvine 2016

Chris Alheit's Chenin Blanc-led blend from old bush vines across the Western Cape. Tighter and more austere than earlier vintages, the nose is focused, almost severe, with compressed citrus and stony minerality. On the mouth there's genuine tension here, a pulsing acidity that keeps everything drawn taut through a clean, persistent finish. A wine that rewards attention rather than demanding it.
