Sottimano Barbaresco Fausoni 2015

Bright red cherry, dried rose petal and a touch of iron-earth, the Fausoni shows genuine freshness for a 2015, a year that didn't always play nice with Nebbiolo's lighter instincts. Mid-weight and nervy, with taut tannins that still want time to knit together. The acidity is vivid and keeps the fruit lifted through a clean, focused finish. Give it another two to three years and it should reward the patience.
