Steinriegl's marble soils leave their mark clearly here. Green apple, apple seed bitterness and a pronounced chalky grip set the tone early, with lime peel and a flinty, almost austere mineral edge driving through to a long, stone-threaded finish. Extract-rich and tightly-knit, this is a wine that earns its Smaragd designation through sheer depth rather than early charm. Patience is essential, the structure will need time to integrate and the fruit to fully emerge. Drink from 2025 through 2035.
