Paolo Scavino Barolo Bric del Fiasc 2015

Dark, dense, and built for the long haul. Black cherry, iron, leather, smoke, licorice and a trace of menthol and graphite layer through a wine that is more generous than Bric del Fiasc often shows, yet still very much a work in progress. The tannins are grippy and serious, the fruit buried under a brooding, earthy frame. This needs a decade minimum before it begins to open. Drink 2030–2045.

→A Castiglione Falletto estate synonymous with single-vineyard Barolo, Paolo Scavino built its reputation on Bric dël Fiasc before expanding across some of the Langhe's most sought-after crus. Now run by the second generation, the wines remain precise, structured, and worth seeking out.
