Muga Selección Especial 2015

Dark cherry, blackberry jam and candied violet lead the nose, with layers of smoke, exotic spice and vanilla unfolding with air. Generous and plush on entry, blue and red fruit richly spiced with cinnamon and lavender, held in check by a firm line of acidity that prevents it tipping into excess. The tannins are substantial and well-structured, lending grip through a long, precise finish. A deeply perfumed, polished Selección Especial that shows beautifully now but has plenty of road ahead.
