La Rioja Alta Viña Ardanza Reserva 2015

Dark cherry, black raspberry, tobacco and dried flowers on the nose, with a trace of smoky oak threading through. Generous and open on the palate, plush dark fruit, spice cake and mocha, with a hint of coconut from the barrel aging. Tannins arrive with a soft but firm grip mid-palate, giving the wine enough structure without interrupting its broad, easy flow. The finish is long and fragrant, fading slowly through floral and oak spice notes. Drink now through 2030.
