La Rioja Alta Viña Alberdi Reserva 2015

Cherry and red berry lead on the nose, threaded with dried flowers and a faint curl of tobacco smoke, lively and inviting. On the palate, black raspberry and bitter cherry come through with focus and juice, gradually giving way to softer, sweeter fruit as it breathes. Tannins are well-knit and smooth, providing backbone without any hard edges, and that floral character follows through to a clean, persistent finish. Consistently well made and punching above its price.
