Kühling-Gillot Riesling Niersteiner Ölberg Grosses Gewächs 2015

Petrol, crushed stone, musky narcissus and machine oil give the nose a distinctly site-driven character, unmistakably Ölberg. White peach and lime eventually soften the austerity, hinting at the juicy, ripe fruit that opens up on a silken, generously textured palate. Peach kernel bitterness, an inner-mouth floral perfume and a persistent stony undercurrent drive a complex, layered finish that closes with a touch of severity but real length.
