Smoldering smoke and ripe pear lead, with a pineapple lift that turns almost exotic with time in the glass, dried fruit nuances emerging beautifully as it opens. The Sporen clay shows clearly in the texture: fluid, sinuous, almost weightless despite the wine's considerable scale. Freshness provides just enough architecture to keep it honest. At 10 g/L residual sugar this reads dry, but it demands food of equal richness to match its presence.
