F.X. Pichler Grüner Veltliner Smaragd M 2015

Sourced from Loibenberg, Kellerberg, and Liebenberg, the latter two sites not harvested until late October and vinified separately before final assembly. Persian melon, mango and grapefruit lead on the nose, lush and sun-warmed. The palate is generous and softly oily in texture, carrying that tropical fruit weight with ease, while smoky black tea and a sharp crack of black pepper keep things from tipping into excess. The finish is long and fruit-laden, with just enough spice to hold your attention.
