White melon, Persian melon and honeysuckle come together on the nose with genuine seductive pull, generous without being blowsy. The texture is silken and expansive, carrying its ripeness gracefully across a full-bodied frame that never feels heavy. Loibenberg's signature nutmeg and white pepper thread through to a long, faintly warm finish, a natural consequence of the 14% alcohol and the inherently ripe character of both site and vintage. Worth noting: this was tasted from tank, its time in cask cut short to preserve freshness given how much richness the 2015 growing season brought to this vineyard.
