Emmerich Knoll Grüner Veltliner Federspiel 2015

Knoll's village-level Loibner GV leads with a pleasantly savory edge, fresh spinach, watercress, and a faint nuttiness woven through a juicy core of apple and lime. It's firm and pithy on the palate, with the bitterness kept in check and bright citrus carrying through to the finish. Solid and satisfying, though it doesn't quite match the crunchy precision of this year's Steinfeder.
