Smoky, almost peaty minerality announces itself immediately, this is unmistakably Scharzhof. White peach, lime zest, and a saline undercurrent build steadily, held in check by acidity that is razor-sharp without tipping into austerity. The wine is wound tight, its rich extract and structural precision pulling in opposite directions in the best possible way. Finishes long, with an herbal clarity and mineral grip that lingers well past the last sip. Drink 2022–2035.
