Ar.Pe.Pe Valtellina Superiore Grumello Riserva Rocca del Piro 2015

Ethereal and haunting, with rose petals, cedar and dried herbs flowing over a mineral backbone. The fruit has receded into earthy, savory territory. Leather, forest floor and hints of orange peel. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, though the somewhat austere finish suggests drinking sooner rather than later. That said, Ar.Pe.Pe's track record suggests this could surprise with time.
