R. López de Heredia Viña Bosconia 2014

From the El Bosque vineyard in Haro, this 80% Tempranillo blend with Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo is still very much in its youth. Blackcurrant, cola, and cedary spice on the nose, with a depth that hints at what's to come. Full-bodied and generously textured, tannins well-integrated, with dark fruit and a thread of anise carrying through to a clean finish. There's more here than it's currently letting on, give it time.
