Piper-Heidsieck Rare 2014

Deep salmon, vivid from 18% Les Riceys red wine. Crushed strawberry, orange zest and dried rose petal on the nose, inviting and layered. Rich red fruit carries across the palate alongside bright citrus and a flicker of spice, all held together by a fine, persistent bead and unmistakable Pinot structure. Still shaking off its youth, with plenty of road ahead.
