Dark plum, cassis, and dried violet open things up, followed by a thread of tobacco and warm baking spice. Generous and ripe without tipping into excess, fresh, lifted acidity keeps the fruit from feeling heavy. Tannins are smooth and well-knit, lending shape rather than grip. The finish lingers with spice and dark fruit, polished and satisfying. Accessible now and built to hold comfortably for several more years.
