Roberto Voerzio Barolo Brunate 2013

Classic Voerzio, powerful but see-through, all sinew and precision. Dark cherry, plum, dried herbs and a balsamic thread weave through the glass, lifting with air to reveal menthol and spice underneath. The structure is substantial, yet in 2013 it stays tightly-knit longer than expected, the depth and muscle surfacing on their own terms rather than announcing themselves upfront. This is a distinguished Brunate, built with the confidence that doesn't need to shout. Cellar through 2030–2040.
