Mango, acacia honey and a touch of smoke lift from the glass with genuine generosity. Creamy and full on entry, yet kept honest by a finely calibrated acid spine, the tension between rich extract and bright structure is what makes this site interesting. Sweet melon fruit carries through to a finish that stays dry despite all that opulence. Only Ott's third vintage from Spiegel, and the site is already staking a serious claim alongside Rosenberg.
