Honeydew, candied citrus peel and buttery lees on the nose, lifted by new French oak into something warmer and more generous than the grape typically suggests. Full and rounded in the mouth, concentrated melon and orange fruit layered with spice cake and a slow build of vanilla. Texture is plush without tipping into heaviness, and the finish runs long with mounting spice and a faint fennel note threading through. Solid, well-executed white Rioja, 90% viura and 10% malvasia, three months on lees, handled with care.
